I have been debating for a while whether I should have my own blog. I already contribute to a number of blogs but in these I am only really commenting on work related items and sometimes feel that I have so much more I need to say. The next question is, who will read my blog? The reality is that it might be no-one but I have come to realize through blogging that that is kind of irrelevant. The important thing it provides an alternative outlet for the thoughts that are constantly racing through my head as well as the frustrations. And if someone does read it and they disagree or heaven forbid I got something wrong, then even better – as David Trott recently said, it is better to be wrong and interesting than right and boring.
It also provides an interesting area to test wordpress for myself – I think that in social media it is so important to get your hands dirty every once in a while otherwise you will never understand it.
Anyway the blog will undoubtedly cover my passions (cinema, digital advertising, travel and vinyl toys) as well as my pet hates (bad customer service). If these are of no interest, then the you are unlikely to want to read this blog.
